Nut Free Center
Understanding that many of our children have nut allergies that can be life-threatening, we have made the decision to be a “nut free” center. We ask you not to send any food items that contain peanuts or tree nuts. This may be an inconvenience, but it is for the safety of all the children we care for.
The nutritional needs of young children are unique due to the relatively high demands of their growth. We are mindful of the nutritional value of the food we serve. Some nutrition guidelines we follow include: serving natural sugars which can be found in fresh fruits; whole grain products like whole wheat muffins, crackers and cereal; fresh vegetables and cheeses.
We will provide nutritious mid-morning snacks, mid-afternoon snack for children in daycare and lunch for all children staying after 11:30 a.m. Lunch is prepared by our school lunch provider with a link to the monthly menu below.
